Our youngest turned 10 today! Reason enough to throw a little party for him and his friends.
We headed down to ‘Het KAF’ in our hometown of Aarschot for a creative workshop. Het KAF is a great project, run by young entrepreneur An-Sofie Gysemans, and organises lots of fun workshops, mainly for adults, but today for the first time… a kids party!
Hasse from Zefiloe ran the workshop (and did a super job!). All kids got to design and print their own T-shirt to take home. They could choose between a standard design or come up with their own ideas.
The kids really enjoyed getting creative and they looooved the snacks and drinks provided!
For Jakob’s birthday cake, I simply made a basic quatre-quarts dough to which I added fresh raspberries and some lemon zest. Once baked, I cut the cake in half, filling it with an extra-thick layer of freshly whipped cream and some red fruits. The cones on top are also filled with cream and fruit and make it a real birthday-cake!
Jakob had a great time and doesn’t his T-shirt look cool?
